Description

Vintage Star of Thailand bronze ware 31 piece boxed cutlery set. This interesting and unusual set features metal (I believe it to be bronze) utensils and wood (dark reddish brown, possibly teak) handles. Set includes 8 forks, knives, & spoons; carving knife & fork; large serving spoon and knife with twisted necks; a small, notched oval spoon, and salt & pepper shakers. The items are in a wooden box lined in pinkish-red velvet. There is a cloth label in the upper left corner of the interior lid. It reads in English: "Star of Thailand/ (factory)/ 327-329 Silom Road/ Bankok, Thailand/ Tel 30654 31774." Box is 12.75" 12.75" x 2.75" tall. Condition is very good: the set is complete, there is slight wear/discoloration on the finish of the metal & wood of some pieces, salt & pepper have verdigris, velvet is intact, label is torn, wooden box is missing latch tops -- see pictures. 96.3 oz.
