Unique Ralph Lauren flatware introduced in 1983. Natural wood forms the handle with stainless accents at the neck. These pieces were introduced over 40 years ago, so yes its vintage, but also the first year for the Ralph Lauren Home Collection. The wood feels smooth and comfortable in my hands! Ha..I am debating keeping for myself.... It seems to go with the fancier china along with the more simple les. Very versatile..... Yes most woods have variations in color so yes there will be light spots and dark spots. You are receiving 30 pieces for one price: 6 Dinner forks 5 Salad forks 6 Knife 5 Tablespoons 7 Soup spoons 1 Extra tablespoons with nicked edges Material: 18/8 stainless. I believe the wood is maple, but I won't promise and would love to know if you have another idea. There was a rosewood line produced but this is not it. I went to my custom lumberyard where the pro is ( yes he was on PBS) and he felt certain about the maple. Condition for 29 of the 30 pieces: no corrosion, light scratches typical still shows well, , many neck accents loose but this does not impede the use or appearance, wood all intact- no splits, end grain shows darker because it simply is end grain, Please ask questions or request more pictures.
